The Dye Garden is in Full Bloom

If you follow me on instagram @thepaintgardener you've likely seen these beauties before. So here's the scoop on them. They are Florintina. There are a total of three plants and they are repeat bloomers. Which means for me here in Ohio in zone 5b they usually bloom from mid June to mid July. Take a rest and bloom again in August through late September. (if we're lucky enough to get decent rain then, or I remember to water every couple of days. And yes, I do use them for making dyes and pigments. More on that in a later post!
